I am just so impressed and so thankful that some inventor had the ingenuity to design to nursing attire for breast feeding moms! (of course it would have had to have been a woman right?). Being a first time mom, I of course just had to have the best of everything, so during my days of leisure and while searching the web I came across few awesome products.
Now remember I was a new mom to be here, so pretty clueless about what breast feeding entails. I have to tell you that my initial purchase centered around 5 articles of nursing wear. Since then, after my experience with feeding while wearing them and feeding without them, it didn’t take me long before I was online ordering several more of the same pieces to carry me through the next several months.
Let me tell you what I bought so you can learn from experience and get yourself stocked up before the babe arrives.
1. Nursing Camisoles
I loved my one and only camisole. It was so comfortable and I never got overheated and neither did my little guy when I was feeding him when wearing this. When it had to head to the laundry, and I had to resort to my regular tops it was a nightmare. Of course by now I had become spoilt with the ease of knowing I was completely covered, and yet the baby had no problems feeding because of bunched up clothing. Plus, I look great just in the nursing camisole on its’ own so I didn’t have to worry about outer wear.
2. Nursing Tops
Fortunately, when my camisole was in the laundry basket I had my one nursing top to rely on, at least until my new order came in (which consisted of 7 new ones) I just couldn’t resist. Not only did they work great for nursing, but they made me look fantastic. We new moms all know what that is like after ten months of being a little on the large size, and not quite making a fashion statement. These tops are a breeze when it comes to feeding. No fuss no muss. I can take the baby anywhere and feed most conveniently without missing half of the affair while dressing and undressing like it is in conventional clothing.
3. Nursing Dresses
I was absolutely ecstatic when I had something really chic to wear with the purchase of my nursing wear dress. My figure was pretty well back to normal, but it was so easy whenever I had to go out to be able to slip into this dress, and know I could feed the baby with no issues. I only purchased 3 more of these though as I don’t have that many functions to attend. Hubby sure likes it though when I get all gussied up which is easy to do with these nursing dresses.
4. Nursing Sleepwear
Although I absolutely love all my nursing wear I have to say that the nursing sleepwear is my most favorite. I have to tell you that breastfeeding is never an experience I would have wanted to miss, but those night feedings were a little annoying when having to battle with regular sleepwear at 3 in the morning, with a screaming infant that hasn’t developed patience yet. With the nursing sleepwear there is no fighting with clothes or baby. As soon as the demand is there within seconds he’s feeding comfortably.
5. Nursing Bras
This is probably one of the items you are most familiar with, but the ones I bought from this store were of a much better quality then the two I had initially bought elsewhere. They are comfortable, give me good support, and are easy to undo for feeding times.
